Rajasthan Jeep Safari Tour
This tour is for those who like to do some adventure in Rajasthan instead of touring in a bus. Programme includes bicycling/motor cycle in the countryside, camel safari and trekking in Aravali while we make sure not to miss main highlights of Rajasthan. We go deep interior of Rajasthan where we meet tribals, artisans at their work and village life. In short this programme offers Rajasthan normal way and much more!
FIRST OPTION:-
Day 01: DELHI
Arrival in Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Combined sightseeing of Old & New Delhi, visiting Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Shanti Van, Humayun's Tomb, President House, India Gate and Qutab Minar.
Day 02: DELHI/AGRA
Drive 210 km to Agra. En route visit Sikandara, the mausoleum of Akbar. Upon arrival proceed for sightseeing, visiting Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb and world famous Taj Mahal, built by Shah Jehan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. It took 22 years and 20,000 people to build the Tajmahal.
Day 03: AGRA/FATEHPUR SIKRI/KARAULI
Drive 200 km to Karauli, a quaint township founded in 1348. You can experience a serene rural environment here apart from the City Palace and Kaila Devi Temple. En route we visit sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Day 04: KARAULI/HADOTHI
Drive 40 km to Sapotra from where we begin our 25 km cycling to Hadoti. En route we stop near Morel River for lunch. We pass through many interesting villages and countryside. Overnight near the village in a village Camp.
Day 05: SAWAI MADHOPUR
Today we do bicycle for 20 kms/3 hrs to Mulana Dungar. En route we come across another river called Banas. From Mulana Dungar we drive 35 kms/1hr by bus/car to Sawai Madhopur. Afternoon park ride in the Ranthambore National Park on arrival in Sawai Madhopur. Sawai Madhopur is spread over 400 sq kms. Wildlife that can be found here includes Herbivores like Deers, Sambars, Cheetal, Blue Bull, Tigers etc. Chances of seeing a tiger are better due to sandy forests.
Day 06: SAWAI MADHOPUR/JAIPUR
In the morning we do one round of the Park and thereafter drive 167 km by bus/car to Jaipur which is popularly known as the Pink City because of pink paint applied to buildings in its old walled city. In Rajput culture, pink was traditionally a color associated with hospitality. Located at the edge of the Great Indian Desert, Jaipur is a gateway to Rajasthan.
Day 07: JAIPUR
Sightseeing of City Palace, Wind Palace, Observatory and local bazaars. Later on we visit Amber Fort on elephant back.
Day 08: JAIPUR/BIKANER
Drive 319 km to Bikaner. Visit Junagarh Fort on arrival.
Day 09: BIKANER/NOKHA/BANGARWALA BERA
Drive 60 km to Nokha and from there proceed on Camel to Bangarwala Bera for 15 km in the desert. O/N Camp.
Day 10: BANGARWALA BERA/KHAGAN
Today we go on Camel back for 19 km till Khangan. O/N in Camp.
Day 11: KHAGAN/BHARDIA
On this day we go 13 km on Camel till Bhardia and overnight in Camp.
Day 12: BHARDIA/JHAMBA/JAISALMER
Camel Safari ends at Jhamba (15 kms). Drive 225 km further to Jaisalmer. Deep in the heart of the Thar Desert, Jaisalmer is one of the last princely bastions in the region. Visit Jaisal Fort, Jain Temples built in 1156 AD and some Havelis.
Day 13: JAISALMER/JODHPUR
Drive 295 km to Jodhpur, one of the most distinctive princely States of Rajasthan. After checking in the hotel we visit Mehrangarh Fort founded in 1459, Jaswant Thada and Mahamandir.
Day 14: JODHPUR/GHANERAO
Drive 200 km to Ghanerao which is a small village set around some beautiful tribal villages. Overnight in Ghanerao Castle.
Day 15: GHANERAO/BANGE KA BAGH
We trek in the Aravali Hills through tribal villages, 12 km to Bange Ka Bagh. Overnight in Jungle Lodge.
Day 16: BANGE KA BAGH/KELWARA
Further trek 12 km to Kelwara visiting some typical villages and possibility of seeing some wildlife. Overnight in Simple Hotel.
Day 17: KELEWARA/KUMBALGARH/UDAIPUR
We trek 6 km up to Kumbalgarh Fort, visit the Fort and drive 90 km to Udaipur. Visit enroute Ranakpur Jain Temples, a marvel of Indian architecture. Built in 15th century, there are 1444 pillars in the temples and none of them look alike. On arrival check into the hotel.
Day 18: UDAIPUR
Full day sightseeing of Udaipur visiting City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Sahelion Ki Bari, the gardens of the maids-of-honour, Pratap Memorial, Fatehsagar and Lake Pichola.
Day 19: UDAIPUR/DELHI
Morning flight to Delhi. Rest of the time free. Rooms for wash and change. Late evening transfer to international airport..
Day 20: DELHI/DEPARTURE
Transfer to international airport for flight back home.
