Day 1: Arrive in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu (1.5 hrs drive)

Highlights: Paro Dzong views, Tachog Lhakhang, scenic river valley drive Arrive at Paro International Airport, Bhutan – welcomed by your guide in traditional Bhutanese style. En route to Thimphu, stop at Tachog Lhakhang and admire its iron bridge. Check-in at hotel in Thimphu – rest and enjoy the mountain surroundings. Evening leisure walk in Thimphu Main Market – perfect for souvenir shopping.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing – Blend of Tradition & Modernity

Highlights: Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma, Takin Preserve, School of Arts Visit National Memorial Chorten – locals walking clockwise while praying with rosary. See the Buddha Dordenma Statue – 51 meters tall and overlooking Thimphu Valley. Enjoy time at Takin Reserve, home to Bhutan's national animal. Visit Zorig Chusum – traditional arts school where kids can see live painting, carving. Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, an ancient hilltop monastery with valley views. Optional: Traditional hot stone bath experience in evening

Day 3: Thimphu – Dochula Pass – Punakha (2.5 hrs)

Highlights: Dochula Pass 108 Stupas, Punakha Dzong, Suspension Bridge Drive to Dochula Pass (3,100 m) – panoramic views of Himalayan snow-capped peaks (on clear day). Visit the beautiful Druk Wangyal Chortens (108) – photo opportunity. Descend to the subtropical valley of Punakha. Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong – one of the most beautiful and historic fortresses. Walk on Bhutan’s longest Suspension Bridge over the Pho Chu river – a family favorite!

Day 4: Punakha – Chimi Lhakhang – Local Village Walk

Highlights: Fertility Temple, Farmhouse Visit, Cultural Experience Morning hike through paddy fields to Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of the Divine Madman – known for fertility blessings. Visit a local farmhouse for traditional Bhutanese cooking demo and tea. Light walk in the village – meet locals, see rural Bhutanese life up close. Optional archery session – try your hand at Bhutan's national sport.

Day 5: Punakha – Paro (4 hrs) – Rinpung Dzong & National Museum

Highlights: Scenic Drive, Paro Dzong, National Museum, Riverside Walk Drive back to Paro via Wangdue – scenic stop at river confluences. Visit Rinpung Dzong (Fortress of the Heap of Jewels), featured in "Little Buddha". Visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan – a good overview for families. Leisure walk by Paro riverbank or enjoy the sunset from the bridge.

Day 6: Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike (Taktsang Monastery)

Highlights: Tiger’s Nest, prayer flags, horse ride option Morning hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery – perched on a cliff 900m above the valley. Horse ride available till halfway (extra cost – good for senior travelers). Reach the sacred site believed to be where Guru Rinpoche meditated. Enjoy packed lunch or lunch at the cafeteria on the trail. Return by late afternoon and relax at the hotel.

Day 7: Departure from Paro Airport

Early breakfast and transfer to Paro Airport. Bid farewell to Bhutan – carrying the warmth of its people and peace of the Himalayas.
